Glushkov Modelling
A curated archive of historically researched ship models, build logs, and workshop notes focused on wooden sailing vessels of the 18th and 19th centuries.
A new Tutorials section is now live. The materials are based on personal experience and the real models presented on this site — not a course, but practical notes on specific aspects of the build process.

Three current directions
The site is currently centered around three major projects, each with its own pace, material logic, and visual character.
Santa Maria
Detailed three‑masted carrack from the Age of Discovery, the flagship of Christopher Columbus’s first Atlantic expedition
Le Requin
Le Requin is a highly detailed scale model of an 18th‑century French Mediterranean xebec, showcasing the ship’s slender hull, pronounced overhanging bow and stern, and distinctive lateen-rigged masts that emphasize speed and maneuverability.
HMAV Bounty
This model represents HMS Bounty as a compact 18th‑century three‑masted armed transport, with detailed rigging and deck fittings capturing the ship’s appearance at the time of the famous mutiny
A workshop built around process, patience, and detail
GLUSHKOV MODELLING brings together long-form build logs, selected photography, and notes from the workbench. The focus is not only on finished models, but on the process itself — structure, materials, historical character, and the small decisions that shape each stage.
